Golden Eggs???

Don’t put your eggs in One Basket??

Are we all Missing the Golden Goose??

Siren Voices?
Many of us are bewitched by the siren calls to make our fortune on the Internet. Millions of us are thus tempted to ‘have a go’ every year! Sadly, official statistics suggest that 60% of us don’t survive more than three (3) months!!!
Why???
Lets face it; there are many reasons why many of us fail. As ebay (and other auction sites) recently pointed out – there are fewer buyers than sellers.
Indeed, whole new industries have arisen in the last few years promising to help you to deliver the traffic to your site (i.e. more visitors = more sales). They range from Search Engine Optimization techniques, through to the provision of better ‘targeted’ visitors to your site. All too often, despite our best efforts, all we manage to achieve is to receive loads of emails, offering us products or services we’ve neither asked for nor wanted, which put an unnecessary load on our site’s bandwidth! That’s an additional insult to the time we waste checking and pinging them!

All we wanted was either More Traffic to our Site or More Targeted Traffic to our Site! Either one of which should stand a chance of increasing our Sales and bottom line!

All too often, the Actual Visitors we get are too few (if any!) and sales are too few (if any!) – resulting in us going down before we’ve hardly started!

Whether your estore is ‘standalone’, i.e. your own website, or on a Mall/Auction Site, the problem is the same as for an Offline business – Traffic = Buyers!

Failure within those first months does NOT necessarily mean YOU’ve done anything wrong. If you’ve done your marketing, you’ve probably got your products/services and pricings right also!!!

e-Branch Expansion???
Offline businesses have known for many many years that one of the best ways to increase their bottom lines is to increase the traffic to their shops/offices etc. Unfortunately, without promotions (all too often Very Expensive) they’ve little or NO control over the foot-traffic passing by! Their biggest problem then is how to increase sales and their bottom lines.

One of the answers is to try to open branch shops/offices in other towns, cities and/or countries. This is often very expensive and requires very careful financial analysis. They are then faced with the equally large problem of Where to place those new Branches! This involves an awful lot of time and Market Research to try to ensure they get it right – First Time!

A New Branch serves to :-
  • Increase Public Awareness!
  • Increases Sales!
  • Lower Costs resulting in Better Prices for Customers and/or Better Bottom Line (Net Profit)!
  • More Customer Satisfaction because Customers Can Get to the Shop/offices More Easily than before!
e-Branches on the WWW!
Translate this formula onto the www – by opening ebranches you stand a Better Chance to :-
  • Increase Traffic to your ebranch AND your Main Site!
  • Increase Your Sales!
  • Increase Your Bottom Line (Net Profit)!
  • Improve Your Customers’ Satisfaction!
  • Improve Your Ability to Test-Market Your New Products/Services!
Where Can You Open Your new eBranch?
There are many web hosts where you can duplicate your site – many are either free or very low cost! The biggest problem with this is that you’re faced with the same problem of Getting Traffic to your new eBranch! Even if it doesn’t cost you an ‘arm and a leg’ for the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) normally needed to provide your customers with online security!

There are many online Malls and Auction Sites where you can set up your new eBranches – many of them give you Free Registration and Free Listings as well as providing free help and/or software to make opening your new ebranch as easy as possible – all you have to do is upload your goods and/or services onto your new ebranch site! Many of them provide you with Bulk-Listing Software to ease your time and effort!

Often, they’ll let you upload your existing html pages onto your new ebranch site.

Because they Need You! Often they will give you a Free Trial Period, which allows you to Test their Site as to whether :-

  • Your Products/Services Will Sell on Their Sites!
  • Your Extra Sales Increase Your Bottom Line (Net Profit) enough!

Yes They Will Charge You eventually – but you must make your own calculations in the light of whether that ebranch is worth your while to keep going!

Advantages of Opening a New eStore or eBranch?
With an Existing Mall or Auction Site :-
  • You Take Advantage of the Existing Traffic to the Host Site!
  • It’s Quick and Easy to Setup And Operate!
  • Some Allow You to Link to Your Main Site!
  • Increased Sales from Your New eBranch!
  • Increased Traffic to Your Main Site!
  • Improved Ability to Test-Market New Products or Services!
  • Increased Public Awareness of Your Existence!
  • Increased Customer Satisfaction!
  • Increased Bottom Line (Your Net Profit)!

Where To Place Your new eStore/eBranch?
Amongst many Mall & Auction Sites, we, at bestauction.co.uk’s Secure Site, are giving estore/ebranch Members Free Registration, Free Setup, Free Listings plus £100 Credit per month - which may be used by you to enhance your Listings, e.g. Featured, Bold and/or @highlighted Listings – for your first three (3) months trading with us. Don’t forget to keep your eye on when each of your new estores or ebranches Trial Offers End and to keep records of traffic and sales on each ebranch! In addition, we give ALL Members the chance to share in our Net Profits.

>At a fundraising dinner for a school that serves learning-disabled
>children, the father of one of the students delivered a speech that would
>never be forgotten by all who attended. After extolling the school and its
>dedicated staff, he offered a question: "When not interfered with by
>outside influences, everything nature does is done with perfection. Yet my
>son, Shay, cannot learn things as other children do. He cannot understand
>things as other children do. Where is the natural order of things in my
>son?"

>and mentally handicapped comes into the world, an opportunity to realize
>true human nature presents itself, and it comes in the way other people

>Then he told the following story:

>
>
>Shay and his father had walked past a park where some boys Shay knew were
>playing baseball. Shay asked, "Do you think they'll let me play?" Shay's
>father knew that most of the boys would not want someone like Shay on their
>team, but the father also understood that if his son were allowed to play,
>it would give him a much-needed sense of belonging and some confidence to
>be accepted by others in spite of his handicaps.
>
>
>
>
>
>
>Shay's father approached one of the boys on the field and asked (not
>expecting much) if Shay could play. The boy looked around for guidance and
>said, "We're losing by six runs and the game is in the eighth inning. I
>guess he can be on our team and we'll try to put him in to bat in the ninth
>inning."
>
>
>
>
>
>
>Shay struggled over to the team's bench and, with a broad smile, put on a
>team shirt. His Father watched with a small tear in his eye and warmth in
>his heart. The boys saw the father's joy at his son being accepted. In the
>bottom of the eighth inning, Shay's team scored a few runs but was still
>behind by three. In the top of the ninth inning, Shay put on a glove and
>played in the right field. Even though no hits came his way, he was
>obviously ecstatic just to be in the g ame and on the field, grinning from
>ear to ear as his father waved to him from the stands. In the bottom of the
>ninth inning, Shay's team scored again. Now, with two outs and the bases
>loaded, the potential winning run was on base and Shay was scheduled to be
>next at bat.
>
>
>
>
>
>
>At this juncture, do they let Shay bat and give away their chance to win
>the game? Surprisingly, Shay was given the bat. Everyone knew that a hit
>was all but impossible because Shay didn't even know how to hold the bat
>properly, much less connect with the ball.
>
>
>
>
>
>
>However, as Shay stepped up to the plate, the pitcher, recognizing that the
>other team was putting winning aside for this moment in Shay's life, moved
>in a few steps to lob the ball in softly so Shay could at least make
>contact. The first pitch came and Shay swung clumsily and missed. The
>pitcher again took a few steps forward to toss the ball softly towards
>Shay. As the pitch came in, Shay swung at the ball and hit a slow ground
>ball right back to the pitcher.
>
>
>
>
>
>
>The game would now be over. The pitcher picked up the soft grounder and
>could have easily thrown the ball to the first baseman. Shay would have
>been out and that would have been the end of the game.
>
>
>
>
>
>
>Instead, the pitcher threw the ball right over the first baseman's head,
>out of reach of all team mates. Everyone from the stands and both teams
>started yelling, "Shay, run to first! Run to first!" Never in his life had
>Shay ever run that far, but he made it to first base. He scampered down the
>baseline, wide-eyed and startled.
>
>
>
>
>
>
>Everyone yelled, "Run to second, run to second!" Catching his breath, Shay
>awkwardly ran towards second, gleaming and struggling to make it to the
>base. By the time Shay rounded towards second base, the right fielder had
>the ball ... the smallest guy on their team who now had his first chance to
>be the hero for his team. He could have thrown the ball to the
>second-baseman for the tag, but he understood the pitcher's intentions so
>he, too, intentionally threw the ball high and far over the third-baseman's
>head. Shay ran toward third base deliriously as the runners ahead of him
>circled the bases toward home.
>
>
>
>
>
>
>All were screaming, "Shay, Shay, Shay, all the Way Shay"
>
>
>
>
>
>
>Shay reached third base because the opposing shortstop ran to help him by
>turning him in the direction of third base, and shouted, "Run to third!
>Shay, run to third!"
>
>
>
>
>
>
>As Shay rounded third, the boys from both teams, and the spectators, were
>on their feet screaming, "Shay, run home! Run home!" Shay ran to home,
>stepped on the plate, and was cheered as the hero who hit the grand slam
>and won the game for his team.
>
>
>
>
>
>
>"That day", said the father softly with tears now rolling down his face,
>"the boys from both teams helped bring a piece of true love and humanity
>into this world".
